I’ve been getting sidetracked a lot with other responsibilities, but I hope to start adding more posts soon. Now that I have an iPhone, I may be able to keep up since I am able to add posts with the iPhone’s Safari web browser.

Sad news as of July 1st, 2007. My Mother passed away after a long string of health difficulties. I have just gotten back from Illinois where most of our Family is, and where the funeral and burial were held. It has been a very difficult time, but the best I can do is look at it as a relief to my Mother’s suffering. Fortunately it wasn’t a prolonged deterioration in a cold hospital, and I was there to give her some comfort at the end.
I will be adding comments regarding final preparations once I catch up with everything. I still have a lot to do now that ceremonies have all taken place. I am still a co-caregiver for an Aunt and Uncle, but it will not be taking nearly the time in duties that my Mom did. Now I just have to pick up the pieces and start putting my energy into other priorities. It is both a burden and a relief to be released from the responsibilities of caring for an ailing individual.
